The thrill of live performances

Linda GreenbergLinda fell in love with the magic of live theatre after her mother took her and her sister to see The Fantasticks in 1966. “I still recall how magical it was in that small theater,” she says, “with actors performing so close to the audience and the connection we all felt as a community.” Linda has been a fan ever since. Today, Linda and her husband, Gary, have been Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park subscribers since 1978—42 years! During this incredible time, she has played a key role in shaping the Playhouse into what it is today.

In addition to creating many incredible memories for her own family at the Playhouse, Linda serves on the Board of Trustees, is a founding member of the Leading Ladies, is a member of The Artistic Director’s Circle and has served on the Capital Campaign Cabinet for the last three years, helping to lead the effort for a new mainstage theatre complex.

By including the Playhouse in her estate planning, Linda hopes to inspire others to make similar commitments and leave their own legacies to the theatre. “It is the community experience that only happens with live performances, which I value. I want to ensure that the Playhouse continues to thrill, entertain, and teach generations of audiences to come.”
